Impulse Warnings and Errors
Impulse prompts the user on screen when Incorrect details are entered.
Errors, Warnings and Information messages are all displayed in real time.

New Patient.
  1. Entering a New Patient you cannot click The OK button if A First name, Surname and Date of Birth is not entered.
  2. To add a patient name without these details you have to enter the patient’s name in the appointment book.
  3. You will not be able to use any other functionality until all details are entered and the patient allocated a File ID.
Cards and Provider Number Validation
Prompts will appear to screen when you enter incorrect details where validation of input details are required.
You will not be able to proceed until these are corrected.
  1. Patient cards: All Medicare System cards
  2. Provider: Incorrect provider Number or Payee provider number.
  3. Referring Doctors: Incorrect referring doctor provider numbers.

Billing.
  1. You will not be able to bill any Medicare functionality where the patient does not have a Medicare card or if the Medicare card is expired.
  2. In The billing Screen if Input elements are not entered correctly for the provider type being billed, a referral is missing, or a request must be entered you can enter details from the billing screen prior to proceeding.
  3. When a Medicare item is being Billed if conditions apply to that item you will be prompted on screen to enter these.
 Medicare Errors, Warnings or Information messages.

Successful Claim


Patient Claim Interactive. Pendable Claim.
Pendable Claims PCIW claims requiring further assessment by an operator are returned  with claim status of ’MEDICARE_PENDABLE’ in the PCIW response.
The User can request the claim to be pended by resending the claim to the agency using the same transaction id (correlationId) within one hour of submitting the original claim.
This is done by selecting patient claim in Patient Account Enquiry and clicking Relodge Claim.
