On Hold Invoice
There are several reasons a Private invoice may be put on Hold
- The patient will be seen by the provider twice in one day
- The patient is seen by the provider but Referral details have not been added for the patient
- Billing put on hold as unsure of one or more billing details
Private Billing
- Dependent on the Fee Type selected in Impulse
- Any Number of Private Fee Types can be created in Impulse
- The most common used are the P [P1-P5] or MS Fee Type
Select The Patient Either from Patient Details or Appointment Book
- F8 to bill
Private Billing
Invoice Only
- Loc: Select Location
- Prov: Select Provider
- Select Service date. Must not be older than 2 years.
- F Type: Private Fee-Type is P1-P5 or MS Fee Type
- Select Item code:
- Tab. Private Fee can be set for the item in Item maintenance and will populate.
- OR Enter Fee(Each) in the billing grid [Amount without $ sign] and tab
- Referral Details: Auto-populates for Specialist Provider if only one referral for patient.
- If it does not populate double click in Referral Details box,
- Select Referral from list and click OK
- OR Click Add to add Referral.
- OR Patient referral not entered and override code is used
- Then select and Click OK.
- Down arrow to add further service line items or click New Row at bottom of screen
- Select ON HOLD at Bottom of screen under INVOICE
Receipt Patient as Prepayment for a Service Invoice on Hold
This is done as a Private Invoice is a legal document and must have correct details on it when supplied to the patient.
- In Patient details: Select System\Payment\Patient or Family
- In Appointment book Select Payment on Left hand taskbar
- Select Prepayment
- Select payment method and complete
- Accept Prepayment and Print Receipt
