Invoice Put On Hold

On Hold Invoice

There are several reasons a Private invoice may be put on Hold
  1. The patient will be seen by the provider twice in one day
  2. The patient is seen by the provider but Referral details have not been added for the patient
  3. Billing put on hold as unsure of one or more billing details

Private Billing

  1. Dependent on the Fee Type selected in Impulse
  2. Any Number of Private Fee Types can be created in Impulse
  3. The most common used are the P [P1-P5] or MS Fee Type
Select The Patient Either from Patient Details or Appointment Book
  1. F8 to bill
Private Billing 
Invoice Only
  1. Loc:      Select Location
  2. Prov:    Select Provider
  3. Select Service date.   Must not be older than 2 years.
  4. F Type: Private Fee-Type is P1-P5 or MS Fee Type
  5. Select Item code:
  6. Tab. Private Fee can be set for the item in Item maintenance and will populate.
  7. OR Enter Fee(Each) in the billing grid [Amount without $ sign] and tab
  8. Referral Details: Auto-populates for Specialist Provider if only one referral for patient. 
  9. If it does not populate double click in Referral Details box, 
  10. Select Referral from list and click OK 
  11. OR Click Add to add Referral. 
  12. OR Patient referral not entered and override code is used
  13. Then select and Click OK.
  14. Down arrow to add further service line items or click New Row at bottom of screen
  15. Select ON HOLD at Bottom of screen under INVOICE

 Receipt Patient as Prepayment for a Service Invoice on Hold

This is done as a Private Invoice is a legal document and must have correct details on it when supplied to the patient.

  1. In Patient details: Select System\Payment\Patient or Family
  2. In Appointment book Select Payment on Left hand taskbar
  3. Select Prepayment
  4. Select payment method and complete
  5. Accept Prepayment and Print Receipt

Generate On Hold Invoice

  1. Select Account Enquiry [left hand taskbar main screen of Impulse]
  2. Search and Select Patient
  3. Click Held and Un-billed on the bottom taskbar
  4. Select The invoice
  5. Click Print
  6. The billing screen opens
  7. If No Referral, make sure the patient referral is added by clicking into the referral details box and adding the referral
  8. This invoice can now be paid by generating a Patient Claim Online or Clicking Pay This
  9. Use the credit funds to pay the invoice
  10. Print Receipt
