MedCloud Access

MedCloud Access

Introduction

Rapid advancements in technology allow practices to implement cloud solutions without the need to change the way that they work or the software that they use.

MedCloud is MedNet Group's interface that allows users to access their Impulse and doctors desk implementation via a cloud solution. This solution is ideal for practices that want the flexibility of being able to access their software from any location, with the full functionality of a desktop software solution.

MedCloud gives users the flexibility to decide their preferred access methodology - Remote Desktop Protocol (more commonly known as RDP) or via an internet browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Safari).

Each of these solutions and their access method is described below, to allow you to choose the best method of access for your practice.

Internet Browser access to MedCloud

Access via an internet browser offers the most flexibility for users accessing Impulse via our MedCloud solution. The only requirement is having an up to date HTML5 browser (which is most modern browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge), and a screen size that is comfortable for users to work on. This allows users to access using a Microsoft Windows computer, Apple Mac, Apple IOS, Android operating systems and Chromebooks.

Like most cloud solutions accessed via browsers, you will be prompted to select your printer each time it is called.

Using MedCloud via a web browser

  1. Open your web browser (must be HTML5 compatible), such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox or Opera
  2. In the address bar, enter: https://mednet.com.au/medcloud-login
  3. The following screen will appear

  4. Enter the username and password as provided by MedNet Group

If you do not want to see this message again in the future, then also tick the bottom box. Hit the Allow button.
  8. The following popup will appear while Impulse is loading:
  9. Once it has connected, you will you presented with the Impulse login screen.
  10. At the end of working in Impulse, we highly recommend that you click the Exit button on Impulse.
  11. You will be returned to the main screen of MedCloud.
  12. Click the person icon in the top right corner and hit Sign Out

RDP access to MedCloud

RDP has been available for many years and is a very stable environment. It allows users to have their software implemented on server that is remote to their practice, with access granted via a login on their computer. Users typically need to have a PC running Microsoft Windows 10 to use this solution.

One of the main advantages of this implementation for Impulse is that it continues with the Impulse functionality of being able to set default printers which do not need to be selected each time you want a document printed.

Each practice computer will need to be setup with MedNet's secure VPN.

Using MedCloud via RDP

  9. Click on the Impulse icon to download
  10. Your Windows Explorer will popup asking where you would like to save. It is recommended that you save this file to your desktop

  12. Once you are logged out, close the browser and go to your desktop and find the Impulse RDP icon and double click to start

  13. The RemoteApp window will be displayed

  14. Click the Connect button
  15. The following window will be displayed
