It is now a requirement to transmit claims via Medicare Online's web services, that a practice be registered on PRODA.
PRODA is an online identity verification and authentication system that let's you securely access government online services.
To use Medicare Online/ECLIPSE/DVA & AIR, you will need to register both an individual account and register your organisation (your organisation is the entity that is registered for your Australian Business Number (ABN).
At a minimum, the Associate or Authorised contact for your organisation must have a PRODA account in the exact name as registered with the Australian Business Register (ABR).
If you do not have an individual PRODA account, you can easily register by following these instructions.
Step 1
Click Register now
Enter the information as requested
Step 2
An activation code will be sent to the email address you entered in Step 1. Enter the code in the Email code field
Your account will be confirmed and an email sent to your nominated email address with your RA number.
Step 3
Verify your documents. If you have also changed your name, you will need to verify this as well.
Choose your preference to verify each time you login.
